Ansible questions

1. what is ansible? 
=> Ansible is a IT tool which automates the entire infrastructure.It help in configuration management,deployment ,can handle the repeated tasks,supports multi-tier applications

  2. what is difference between ansible and chef?

=> Ansible is agentless,chef has a agent.Ansible deployment method is push and chef method is pull.Ansible setup is easy,chef setup is complex.Ansible deploy over ssh and chef through client server

  3. i want to create users in my machine which is the most faster tool i.e ansible or chef or puppet? 


=> Ansible is the faster tool 

  4. what is loop in ansible ?
=>  loop module is to handle the multiple tasks like installing multiple packages.Dont need to write the different tasks 
  5. how to read the variables in playbooks ? 
=>
6. how to expose passwords in playbooks? 
=> I think through ansible-vault view inventory-name 

  7. any other options other than vault? 

=> Mostly ansible vault is used for security

  8. how to get the gather facts..?


=> ansible -m setup hostname 

  9. what are the modules have you used?

=> apt,yum,copy,get_url,command,script,user..... 

  10. how ansible will works?


=> nodes info is gather in ansible inventory file.i,e in control machine.Allocate ssh connection in all nodes.write the playbooks allocate the host name and executes 

  11. what is static inventory and dynamic inventory?
=>
12. in my playbook number of tasks are there while running the second task is failure then my playbook will be execute others task or not?

=> No it will not executes until if you mention ignore_error: true

  13. i want ignore my failure task and run other task in playbook how to do this?

To ignore task give the ignore_errors:True in failure task and execute
